Dato’ Ahmad Pardas Senin
Chairman
Dato’ Ahmad Pardas Senin has had a 35-year career in the corporate sector, including some 16 years at board level. He retired as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of UEM Group Berhad in June 2009. He had served the UEM Group for more than 17 years since 1992, during which he had held various key positions, including Managing Director of UEM World Berhad, Renong Berhad, TIME Engineering Berhad, TIME dotCom Berhad, EPE Power Corporation Berhad. He had also served as Executive Director/CEO of Silterra Malaysia Sdn Bhd. He was also a member of the boards of PLUS Expressways Berhad, UEM Land Holdings Berhad, UEM Builders Berhad, Faber Group Berhad, Pharmaniaga Berhad, Opus Group Berhad, Costain Group plc., UEM Environment Sdn Bhd, and The Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT).
Prior to UEM Group, he worked for the BAT Group for more than 17 years, including a 3-year posting at their London office, and as the Financial Controller of Malaysian Tobacco Company Berhad. He is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, a Chartered Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, and a Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Inc. Dato’ Ahmad is currently also a member of the Boards of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and Silterra Malaysia Sdn Bhd, and a member of the Financial Reporting Foundation (FRF).

Dr. Sundaran Annamalai
Director
Dr Sundaran Annamalai was appointed as Director of the Malaysian Directors Academy on 18 January 2011.
Dr Sundaran Annamalai is currently the Under Secretary Economics and International Division, Ministry of Finance. He has served the Government for almost 30 years in various capacities in the Ministry of Finance, National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), and Ministry of Public Enterprises. Dr Sundaran Annamalai is a director of Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (MDEC)
Dr Sundaran Annamalai holds a Doctorate in Finance from the International Christian University, Japan and has a Masters in Finance from the Michigan State University, USA.

Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Muhamad Rais bin Abdul Karim
Director
Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Muhamad Rais bin Abdul Karim is a graduate of Universiti Malaya, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours, 2nd Upper) in Malay Studies in 1969 and a Diploma in Public Adminstration in 1972. Following his education at Universiti Malaya, Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Muhamad Rais continued his studies at the University of Southern California, United States of America, obtaining a Masters of Public Administration in 1976. He culminated his education by obtaining a Ph. D. in Developmental Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, United States of America, in 1985.
Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Muhamad Rais has 38 years of working experience in government service and has headed several divisions in government related to the operations of public administration. His postings also include leading Steering and Implementation Committees. Apart from MINDA, he is also currently Chairman of the Malaysian Qualifications Agency and Goodyear Malaysia Berhad. He is also a Director of MyEG Services Berhad and Hon Treasurer of PERKIM.

Datuk Azzat bin Kamaludin
Director
Datuk Azzat graduated from Queens’ College, University of Cambridge, with a Bachelor of Law (Honours) in 1968 and a Bachelor of Law in International Law (Honours) in 1969. He was admitted to the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, London and called to the Degree of the Utter Bar in 1970.
Datuk Azzat spent the 1970s in government service, holding several overseas postings. As of November 1979, Datuk Azzat has been a partner of the legal firm, Messrs Chua Brothers, Azzat & Izzat Advocates & Solicitors (now known as Azzat & Izzat). He was a member of the Securities Commission from March 1993 to March 1999. He is also presently a non-executive Director of Boustead Holdings Berhad, Affin Holdings Berhad, KPJ Healthcare Berhad, Celcom (M) Berhad, PSC Industries Berhad, Visdynamics Holdings Berhad and Axiata Group Berhad.

Shahnaz Al-Sadat bt. Tan Sri Sheikh Abdul Mohsein
Director
Ms Shahnaz Al-Sadat bt. Tan Sri Sheikh Abdul Mohsein holds a Masters of Business Administration from IMD, Switzerland. Her primary qualification is as a Certified Public Accountant (The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants), a Chartered Accountant (Malaysian Institute of Accountants) as well as a Certified Internal Auditor (Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., USA).
She also holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. Ms Shahnaz came from a private sector background, where she held senior positions with several multinational audit companies, including Arthur Anderson. She is currently a Director in MINDA as well as Executive Director with Khazanah Nasional Berhad, leading Strategic Human Capital Management.

Dato’ Abdul Aziz bin Abu Bakar
Executive Director & CEO
Dato’ Abdul Aziz was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Directors Academy (MINDA) on 1 October 2009. Prior to his appointment as MINDA’s first CEO, Dato’ Aziz was the Chief Human Capital Officer at Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), a position he occupied for five years before his retirement in September 2009.
He has also served in various senior positions across a number of industries including banking, oil & gas and aviation. Prior to his stint in TM, Dato’ Aziz was the Executive VP, HR Division of RHB Bank Berhad from 2001 to 2004. Before that, Dato’ Aziz spent 20 years in Shell Malaysia in various management positions in Internal & Computing Audit, Marketing Economics, Sales, Supply & Planning and HR. In 1991, he was assigned to an international posting to Shell Group Head Office in London where he held the position of the shareholders’ representative overseeing Shell’s business interests in Hong Kong and China. He was made the General Manager of HR and Transformation for ASEAN countries upon his return. Prior to joining Shell Malaysia, he was a Fleet Planning Coordinator with Malaysian Airlines Systems Berhad (MAS) where he began his career in 1977. Dato’ Aziz holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) degree from the University of Malaya.
